Anniston Man Facing Federal Charges For Carrying A Gun Into Anniston High School

An Anniston man is facing federal charges after authorities say he carried a gun into a local high school football stadium. A woman saw Cameron Watkins with the gun at an Anniston High School football game and reported it to police.

According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, once the officer stopped Watkins and searched him, a loaded Taurus Model semi-automatic pistol was found inside of his pants. Watkins is charged with Violating Federal Law Barring the Carrying of Firearms in School Zones and he’s being held in the Calhoun County Jail.
