An Anniston man is dead after a freight train struck and killed him. According to Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown, 56-year-old Conrad Chapman was walking on the tracks near 11th Street and McDaniel Avenue.
As the train approached him, every measure was taken in order to stop the train from hitting Chapman, but could not stop it in time. Many who knew Chapman describe him as kind hearted and an entertainer.
