Anniston Man Who Tried to Arrest Weaver Mayor Will Go Before Grand Jury in August

Beck, Bobby 2The case against 59 year old Bobby Beck of Anniston will be going before a grand jury.

As you may recall, Beck was the man who walked into Weaver City Hall back in June, and tried to place Mayor Wayne Willis under arrest, even though Beck was in no way associated with any law enforcement agency.

Police say that Beck entered city hall armed with a pistol, and was carrying a badge, and a pair of handcuffs, with him.

He was arrested by Weaver Police June 10th at his home on Westbrook Lane – and was charged with Impersonating a Peace Officer and Making a Terrorist Threat; that in addition to Carrying a Pistol without a Permit. He was released from jail on June 25th after making a $2,500 bond.

According to the Anniston Star, Calhoun County District Court Judge Chris McIntyre set Beck’s case to go before a grand jury August 25th.
