Anniston Will Be The Primary Depot Source For Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicles

(Washington, DC)—Congressman Mike Rogers made the following statement after the Army announced their decision to designate Anniston the primary Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) for the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV).

“I am excited to see the announcement from the Army that the primary Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) for the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) will be Anniston Army Depot (ANAD). Anniston is the U.S. Military’s premier repair and overhaul facility and this new mission will continue its vital work for our men and women in uniform.

“I also want to give special thanks to Senator Richard Shelby for leading the efforts to ensure that this system would be awarded to ANAD. His leadership on this issue cannot be underestimated,” Rogers said. Rogers serves as Ranking Member of the House Committee on Homeland Security and is a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee.
