Anthony Michael Hall Charged with Felony Battery in Neighbor Scrap

Tibrina Hobson/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Former Brat Pack member Anthony Michael Hall has been charged with felony battery in an alleged scrap with a neighbor.

Richard Samson, Hall’s neighbor, claims he was shoved by the actor after a verbal altercation on September 13.

The brief scuffle, which was captured by security camera footage subsequently posted by TMZ, allegedly left Samson on the ground, with injuries he claims included a broken wrist and back.

The LAPD investigated the claims, and as a result Hall was charged with felony battery with serious bodily injury.

According to the Los Angeles County DA’s office, Hall is accused of “willfully and unlawfully” using, “use force and violence upon the person of Richard Samson, resulting in the infliction of serious bodily injury on such person.”

While best known as the star of ’80s classics like Weird ScienceSixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club, Hall has more recently played a TV news host in both Christopher Nolan’s Batman sequel The Dark Knight Returns and on the Batman-themed Fox series Gotham.
