The volleyball postseason is about to begin.

Area tournaments around the state take place tomorrow and Wednesday, with winners and runners-up advancing to sub-regional play on Friday and Saturday.

On Tuesday, Cedar Bluff is the host for the Class 1A, Area 13 tournament. The Lady Tigers take on Valley Head at 4 p.m., followed by Coosa Christian and Gaylesville at 5 p.m. The tournament championship is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Spring Garden is the host of the Class 2A, Area 12 tournament on Tuesday. The Lady Panthers have a bye and await the winner of the 5 p.m. match between Sand Rock and Westbrook Christian. The championship is set for 6 p.m.

In Class 3A, Area 11 at Pleasant Valley on Tuesday, the host Lady Raiders take on Weaver at 2:30 p.m., followed by Piedmont and Ohatchee at 4 p.m. The championship match is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Geraldine is the host of the Class 3A, Area 12 tournament on Tuesday and will take on Collinsville at 2 p.m. Hokes Bluff battles Glencoe at 3:30 p.m., followed by the championship match at 5 p.m.

Area tournament action continues on Wednesday in Jacksonville. The Lady Golden Eagles take on Anniston at 4:30 p.m., followed by Cherokee County and White Plains at 5:30 p.m. The championship match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
