An armed gunman reportedly got away with an estimated $2,200 in cash, during a morning robbery at the Shop & Save convenience store on East Meighen Boulevard last Wednesday.
Gadsden Police reports show that the 41 year old clerk said the robbery occurred at around 9:45am when a black male wearing a black pullover and a black toboggan entered the store
The subject pulled a semi-automatic pistol and demanded money – which the clerk handed over; the man then demanded more money before walking around behind the register and looking for himself; seeing there wasn’t any more cash he took six cartons of cigarettes and fled the store – heading south on Franklin Street.
The investigation into the incident is on-going.
