Arrest Made in Convenience Store Hold Up Case

An arrest has been made, in connection with the hold up of a Jacksonville area convenience store on Sunday.

34 year old Quentin Lamar Williams of Anniston – who got away with less than $100 – has been charged with felony first degree robbery.

Jacksonville Police Chief Tommy Thompson said that Williams was located at the Vann Thomas Motel on McClellan Boulevard in Anniston.

Thompson said Williams had robbed the Pelham Road Shell Station just after 6:00am Sunday by holding a box cutter to the neck of the 65 year old female clerk; fortunately the woman, although shaken up, was unhurt.

According to the Anniston Star Williams fled the scene in a silver Land Rover which belonged to a “female companion”; the woman soon contacted investigators about the robbery.

Williams remains in the Jacksonville City Jail with bond, and a court date, yet-to-be set.
