Arrest Made In Marshall County Burglary Case

In the early morning hours of Feb 21st a burglary occurred in the 200 block of Meltonsville Rd. in Marshall County. Deputies responded and found the residence in total disarray with items broken and tossed throughout the house.

The home owner was contacted and it was determined that guns, jewelry medication and personal documents had been taken. Deputies developed information that night  which led them to a second residence on Old 227 Rd.

As Deputies approached this residence a pill bottle taken from the burglary was observed lying on the ground near the front door. Investigators were contacted and a search warrant for the residence was obtained. After making entry into the home a large amount of items taken from the burglary were recovered and then returned back to the victim.

Warrants were obtained for Evan Blake Holtzclaw of Groveoak, Al. for Burglary 3rd and Theft of Property 2nd. Deputies located Holtzclaw Saturday the 6th and taken into custody.

Holtzclaw is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail with no bond
