Betty Sue Early

Betty Sue Early, age 77 of Gaylesville, passed away Tuesday, April 17th at her residence.

Funeral services will be 12:PM Saturday, April 21st at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Rainey and David Clay officiating; burial will follow in Cannon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:PM Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Garry Stephens, Jerry Don Stone, Wesley Clay, Tony Clay, Liam Clay, Steve Hice.

Survivors include sons, Michael (Michele Renshaw) Early of Loganville, GA, Alan (Teresa) Early of Gaylesville; grandchildren, Wade Cason, Jenna Swindall, Justin Anderson; sister and caregiver, Ruth (David) Clay of Silver Creek, GA; brother, Clifford (JoAnn) Duncan of Cedar Bluff; several nieces, nephews and whole extended family of neighbors and friends.

Mrs. Early was a native of Floyd County, the daughter of the late Ernest and Noma Sue Goss Duncan and was of the Baptist faith. She worked hard all of her life helping on a farming operation and several years at Centre Manufacturing company before starting over a career as a U.S. Postal Rural Carrier for 30 years at Valley Head Post Office where she was a member of the National Rural Letter Carrier Association, before her retirement in 2017. She loved her job, her co-workers and her customers. She will be dearly missed.
