Bobby Joe Blackwell age 81, of Locust Grove, GA., passed away Monday July 8th at Eternal Hope Hospice.
Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Thursday July 11th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Foster officiating; burial will follow in Black Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Jeff Blackwell, Kenny Hylock, Michael Fitts, Tommy Fitts, Tim Blackwell, Sonny Fowler.
Survivors include sons Phil (Alice) Woll of NC, Tim (Tonya) Blackwell of AL, Jeff (Mary) Blackwell of GA.; daughters Melody Woll of AL, Pam Baker of GA., DeeAnn (Kenny) Hylock of GA., Bobbie (George) Smith of GA., Beth Blackwell of AL.; brother Tom (Andrea) Choron; sisters Janice Deerman , Linda Blackwell, Glenda Blackwell, Barbara Ann (Alton) Smith; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Blackwell was a native of Etowah County, the son of the late John and Willie Mae Ragan Blackwell; and was a Trailer Mechanic in the trucking industry.
