A total of seven counterfeit $50 bills were seized by Anniston Police last week; according to reports two men had attempted to pass the bogus bills at three different locations earlier in the week.
Investigators are apparently still reviewing video surveillance footage taken from the three businesses – one in the 800 block of Noble Street and two on Quintard Avenue.
No additional information is being released at this time.
