Both Beckys are back for ABC’s “Roseanne” reboot

(LOS ANGELES) — First and second Becky will both be making an appearance on ABC’s Roseanne reboot.

As fans of the show know, the original role of older sister Becky Conner was played by Lecy Goranson, but she was replaced by Sarah Chalke in season six of the show.

Goranson is back as Becky in the reboot, but Entertainment Weekly reports Chalke is getting a role too. According to EW, Chalke will play a middle-class married woman named Andrea who hires Becky as her surrogate. This decision will lead to some drama within the Conner family.

“I love the part! It’s such a fun part to play,” Chalke tells EW.

She adds, “I was so excited to hear that it was coming back. I think the timing is perfect. I think it’s exactly what is needed right now. Right now when the country is so divided, I really think it’s a show that brings people together. The writing is so unbelievable. It’s so funny.”

The Roseanne Barr-led sitcom, which originally ran from 1988 to 1997, will have a special hour-long premiere at 8 p.m. ET on March 27 on ABC.
