It appears Wilcox was planning to turn himself in.

Wilcox has been charged in connection with the double homicide occurring in the Tenalla community of Cherokee County early Sunday afternoon (July 31st).  The victims, according to Coroner Jeremy Deaton were identified as Daniel Andrews and Letitia Andrews; they are reportedly the mother, and step-father of Wilcox’s wife; the bodies were discovered shortly after 1:30pm at a home on  County Road 19.

Warrants had been issued on Wilcox for Capital Murder and for Kidnapping 1st Degree.

Chasidy Wilcox was forcibly removed from the scene when Jeffery Wilcox fled following the shooting; Summerford said Wilcox is cooperating with investigators and has stated that she and her husband had been “traveling” since Sunday, spending some of that time in Georgia.

The truck’s OnStar subscription was non-active, meaning it couldn’t be tracked.

At this point, the murder appears to have been the result of a “domestic dispute”.  Last year, the couple filed for divorce – and Chasidy Wilcox had filed for a protective order, which was denied, in September of last year.

According to court documents that divorce case was dismissed in May of this year, after the two reconciled.

Chasidy Wilcox had been living with the Andrews’ while separated from her husband; their children were in the home when the murders took place; DHR has since placed the children in the care of another family.

Funeral services for Daniel Andrews will be held at 3:00pm Friday August 5th – at the Perry Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Sheppard Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday at the funeral home from 12:00 noon – 2:30pm.
