The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office was recently called to the scene of a break-in on State Line Road at Cloudland.

Deputies spoke with the complainant who informed them that he had been deer hunting on his mother’s property when he noticed that a back gate had been left open to the residence.

Upon further investigation he found that the door of the home had been left standing open, and drawers and cabinets had been gone through and were left open inside.  He also told responding deputies that about two weeks ago, locks had been cut off of the outbuildings at the property.

That case remains under investigation.
