Burleson leads Cedar Bluff boys at Collinsville

COLLINSVILLE – Jacob Burleson scored a game-high 25 points in leading the Cedar Bluff Tigers to a 52-39 basketball victory at Collinsville on Friday night.

Anbre Leek added 13 points for the Tigers. Bucky Leek finished with 11 points.

Colton Wills led the Panthers with 17 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Malachi Orr added six points. Deon Winsley finished with five points.

Cedar Bluff held a 15-13 advantage at the end of the first quarter and a 24-22 edge at halftime. The Tigers built a 36-27 lead at the end of three quarters.

Cedar Bluff battles Gaylesville in the Cherokee Invitational at Gaylesville on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Collinsville takes on Sand Rock in the tournament at 8 p.m.

In Friday’s girls game, Kayla Beene connected on a pair of 3-pointers and had 15 points in leading the Lady Panthers in a 73-13 rout.

Paulina De La Cruz tossed in 13 points. Tyla Tatum and Cadence Amison both scored 10 points apiece. Caroline Brannon and Sydney Maddox both collected eight points. Sophia Wills finished with six points.

Jordyn Walker led the Lady Tigers with nine points, including two treys.

Cedar Bluff takes on Gaylesville in the Cherokee Invitational at Gaylesville on Saturday at 3 p.m. Collinsville battles Sand Rock in the tournament at 6:30 p.m.
