iStock/Thinkstock(LIMA, Peru) — Officers in Peru are racing to rescue victims after a bus fell over the edge of the Pan-American Highway, just north of Lima, the capital, the National Police of Peru said on Twitter.
At least 25 people have been killed in the crash, Peru transport chief Dino Escudero said according to the BBC.
Escudero said the bus apparently collided with the trailer of another vehicle and the driver lost control, BBC reports.
Additional details about the crash were not immediately available.
