Calhoun County Wreck Claims Life of 70 Year Old Motorcyclist Tuesday Evening

Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate an accident that claimed the life of a motorcyclist in Calhoun County earlier this week.

The victim has been identified as 70 year old Frankie Rowe from Hobson City.   Rowe was traveling northbound on U.S. 431 just prior to 7:00pm Tuesday when his Harley-Davidson was struck by a Jeep Wrangler. 

Rowe was pronounced dead at the scene – the driver of the Jeep was listed on reports as 48 year old Darrell Mathews of a Wellington address.

It’s unclear at this time, what led to the crash occurring.
