Shortly before 9:00 Friday morning, firefighters were dispatched to reports of a camper fire on County Road 705 off of County Road 22 near Ebenezer Church.
By the time firefighters arrived, three campers were ablaze; and unfortunately, were totally destroyed; Those battling the fire did an incredible job of keeping the adjoining campers on each end from catching fire as well even though one of the campers did sustain some minor damage from the intense heat.
We spoke with property owner, Johnny Williams, who told us no one was present in any of the three campers that caught fire.
Those responding to the scene included the McCords and Spring Creek Fire Departments as well as Floyd EMS.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
