Car Collides with Propane Truck on Chesnut Bypass

At approximately 5:00pm Tuesday, there was a collision between a car and a propane truck on County Road 22 near the Chesnut Bypass in Centre.

Cherokee County EMA Director Shawn Rogers said a small fuel spill that resulted from that wreck was quickly contained and a very small rupture on the tank of the propane truck was plugged with no propane leakage occurring.

Others responding to the scene included Centre Police and Fire units along with Floyd EMS.

It’s still unclear if anyone was hurt in that mishap.

We’ll have more information once the Centre Police Department accident report is released
