CED Mental Health in cooperation with the Leesburg Police Department will be holding a Prevention and Recovery Rally on Monday in the Leesburg Town Park from 5-7 p.m.

The event is being held in conjunction with Recovery Month to convey Hope and to celebrate all who are in recovery. There will be information available about substance abuse prevention, treatment, including available services.

A meal consisting of a hotdog, chips a dessert and a drink will be served while it last and there will also be opportunities to win door prizes.

Guest Speakers for the event will include Leesburg Police Chief Lanny Ransum, Leesburg Police Officer Joe Johnson of the Department’s Narcotics division as well as Pam Johnson who will share the story of her daughter Addison.

Leesburg Police will also be sponsoring a Drug Take Back Program that day, everyone is asked to bring your outdated prescription medications between 4-7 p.m. and the police department will take them for proper disposal.

Again, that event takes place on Monday from 5-7 p.m. in the Leesburg Town Park.
