Cedar Bluff boys cruise past Coosa Christian, 74-42

CEDAR BLUFF – Bucky Leek scored 27 points to lead the Cedar Bluff Tigers to a 74-42 boys basketball victory over visiting Coosa Christian on Tuesday.

Anbre Leek added 18 points for the Tigers. Jacob Burleson contributed 13 points and Eli McFry finished with nine points.

Deontae Ford led Coosa Christian with 26 points. Koby Roberts canned a pair of 3-pointers and had 10 points. J.D. Justus finished with five points.

Cedar Bluff held a 16-10 advantage at the end of the first quarter, then went on a 22-12 run in the second to take a 38-22 lead at halftime. A 29-15 run in the third increased the Tiger lead to 67-37.

Cedar Bluff opens the Cherokee County Tournament on Thursday at 7 p.m. against Gaylesville at Cherokee County High School.

Coosa Christian 53, Cedar Bluff 25

CEDAR BLUFF – Bella Millirons and Chloe Davidson both tossed in 14 points to lead the Coosa Christian Lady Conquerors to a 53-25 girls basketball victory at Cedar Bluff on Tuesday.

Gemma Littlejohn and Erin Snow had nine and five points respectively for Coosa. Hayden Cannon led the Lady Tigers with seven points. Caley Bruce and Za’Niya Kyle scored six and five points respectively.

Cedar Bluff takes on Gaylesville in the opening round of the Cherokee County Tournament on Thursday at 5 :30 p.m. at Cherokee County High School.
