CEDAR BLUFF – Bucky Leek netted a game-high 25 points to lead the Cedar Bluff Tigers past visiting Valley Head 65-62 in area boys basketball action on Friday night.

Connor Flynt tossed in 17 points for the Tigers. MJ Adams and Dylan Kinard finished with nine and eight points respectively.

Valley Head sank 12 3-pointers in the game, led by Mason Vest’s 15 points on four treys. Austin Ingram added 12 points. Chandler Johnson contributed 11 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Noah Hulgan had seven points. Gentry Grisham and Ethan Webb both connected on a pair of treys and finished with six points apiece.

Cedar Bluff led 17-12 at the end of the first quarter and built a 37-24 advantage at halftime. Valley Head went on a 25-7 run in the third quarter to take a 49-44 lead, but Cedar Bluff battled back by outscoring Valley Head 21-13 in the fourth for the final.

Cedar Bluff travels to Gaylesville on Tuesday.
