Cedar Bluff Man Arrested Following a Brief Pursuit On Wednesday

A Cedar Bluff man is behind bars after he attempted to elude deputies on Wednesday.

Chief Deputy Josh Summerford said that 28 year old Nicholas Lee Banks was taken into custody following the brief pursuit on County Road 75 near County Road 82 in the Unity Community in Cedar Bluff.

Lt. Bo Jolly, Sheriff Jeff Shaver and Chief Deputy Summerford stopped the vehicle on County Road 82.

Banks was booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center just after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday on charges of Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest and Domestic Violence 3rd Degree.

He remains in the Cherokee County Detention Center on a $4000 bond.
