One person is behind bars after attempting to elude officers on Friday night.

Cedar Bluff Police Officer Chris Vaughn attempted to stop a vehicle being driven by 38 year old Waylon Dale Epps  on County Road 80 when Epps fled. Deputy Dalton Cosby joined the chase which finally ended inside Chattooga County, Georgia near Holland-Chattogaville Road after Epps crashed the vehicle.

Epps was arrested by Chattooga County deputies and booked in at the Chattooga County jail on charges of Driving on a Suspended/Revoked License and Reckless Driving, he currently remains in jail in Chattooga County on a $1355 property bond.

Once released, Epps will face charges for Attempting to Elude, Criminal Mischief and numerous traffic violations in Cherokee County.
