The Cedar Bluff Town Council approved hazardous duty pay for all town employees in response to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. The motion was made at the recommendation of Councilman Tim Miller; the council approved a $50 per week increase in pay. That increase will remain in effect until the Coronavirus Pandemic has ceased.
In other business the Council adopted a Resolution appointing election officers, those include; Inspector, Peggy Martin and Poll Clerks Maddie Williams, Dale Penn, Norman Burton, Loretta Higgins, Mike Clifton, Robin Roberts, Terry Tucker, Angie McMullin, Frances Smith, Colleen Berryhill and David Young.
The Council also adopted a Certificate of Election for District 5 where incumbent Leatha Harp will serve another term unopposed.
The monthly police department report included; 29 Incident/Offense reports, 2 accident reports, 2 arrests and 48 traffic citations.
