Cedar Bluff Town Council Member Arrested By Cedar Bluff Police On DUI Charge

District 3 Cedar Bluff Town Council Member Jack Bond was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police on Tuesday on a charge of DUI/Any Substance.

Bond was booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center at 5:21 p.m. without bond. As of 1:20 Wednesday afternoon, charges for Bond were upgraded to DUI Alcohol and combined Controlled Substances.

No details have been released at this time. However, according to reports the arrest stemmed from a possible road rage incident that occurred on Sewell Ferry Road in Cedar Bluff just prior to Bond meeting with Officers at Midway Storage between Centre and Cedar Bluff.

We reached out to town officials on Wednesday afternoon for comment concerning the situation and we are awaiting an official statement from the towns attorney.
