It was a productive meeting of the Utilities Board of the Town of Cedar Bluff on Monday.
Board members approved their financial reports which showed a sewage profit of $6,952 for the month and $2,535 profit for water for the month, year to date the board has an overall profit of $62,101.
Board member Linda Picklesiemer made a request that the board table the approval of the budget until the October meeting because there are something adjustments which need to be made which will require an additional meeting of the board.
Utilities Board Manager Jeff Harrell said that Sun Coast Construction which is the Tuscaloosa based companies performing the upgrade work to the town’s sewage system is in the final stages of the project and should be done within a matter of days.
Likewise the Double Diamond Construction Group based out of Mississippi is performing upgrade work at the Town’s Lagoon’s and is also nearing the completion of their project.
There were two invoices approved to be paid by the board, Office Manager Marie Kelly said that the bills in the amount of $3,916 and $2,225 were for drawings being rendered for the a new building constructed at the Lagoon which will be used to store equipment used by utility board workers.
