The Centre City Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday. Items on that agenda included the approval of the minutes from the previous meeting in addition to a motion approving the bills for payment.
In other business, Mayor Tony Wilkie stated that the city recently incurred an $11,000 repair bill for one of the city’s garbage truck. Mayor Wilkie explains more –

That motion passed unanimously.
The council also approved the posting for the job of City Clerk, Clerical Staff and Operator in the Streets & Sanitations Department. Those jobs will remain posted for a period of two weeks before they are filled.
Councilman Don Cothran recommended the purchase of a complete set of tires for the Fire Departments Engine #9 in compliance with NFPA Standards. Those tires will come from OK Tire in the amount of $3,094.
