It was a brief meeting for the Centre City Council on Tuesday with the bulk of that meeting consisting of quarterly reports from each of the city’s department heads.
In other business, the council approved the purchase of a fence for one of the soccer fields at the Dixie Youth Fields in the amount of $3,500. Also approved was four new radar units for the police department in addition to the purchase of a special striping package for one of the patrol vehicles honoring veterans and current members of the military.
The council also approved the sale of some surplus fencing from the tennis courts. The council and Mayor expressed their sincere appreciation for everyone’s hard work and dedication in making this year’s fall festival such a great success.
