The Centre City Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, the final meeting for Mayor Tony Wilkie and Councilman Cedric Williams.
The council heard from each of the city department heads who provided quarterly reports for their respective departments.
A step raise was approved for Preston Crane in accordance with city policy.
The council also adopted a resolution amending Ordinance 13-277 from Residential (R-1) to Duplex Residential (R-2).
The purchase of 3 dumpsters for the Street Department was approved in the amount of $5,085.
Mark Collins, President of the Weiss Lake Improvement Association was also in attendance to provide and update.
Contract renewals with RDS were approved for the collection of Sales/Use Tax, Rental/Lease Tax and Lodging Tax.
The council has also agreed to waive the second meeting October 27th due to the Alabama League of Municipalities Conference.
The Centre Police and Fire Department announced that their annual Trunk or Treat event would be held on October 31st from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Centre Police Department building.
