Centre Elementary School Receives Grant Money from Blue Cross/Blue Shield

IMG_0121One Cherokee County elementary school teacher decided to “take the bull by the horns” by writing her first grant – and apparently she’s quite good at it because her action resulted in Centre Elementary School receiving almost $10,000 through the Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Alabama “Be Healthy School Grant Program”.

Centre Elementary was chosen as one of the 25 schools across the state this year to receive grant money – more than a quarter of a million dollars has been granted to schools through that program since its inception in 2011.
