Centre Firefighters Respond To Vehicle Fire At American Apparel

Centre Firefighters were called to the scene of a vehicle fire in the rear parking lot of American Apparel on Monday afternoon.

Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Investigator and Cedar Bluff Fire Chief Shawn Rogers was first on the scene after he spotted the fire from the road an quickly notified 911, employees at the plant tried to extinguish the car by using several fire extinguishers but were unsuccessful.

The vehicle suffered extensive damage, thankfully no one was injured. It is not known at this time exactly what caused the fire. Centre Police also responded to the scene.
