A well-known Centre business is now under new ownership – and that smiling friendly face is a familiar one – longtime employee Sharon Joor is now the new owner of Centre Florist.
Following the recent ribbon-cutting ceremony held by the Chamber of Commerce we spoke with Sharon about what Centre Florist has to offer:
Their delivery area covers all of Cherokee County including Centre, Cedar Bluff, Gaylesville, Blanche, Sand Rock, Collinsville, Leesburg and Forney – along with areas outside the county to the neighboring cities of Ft Payne, Gadsden, Attalla, Glencoe, Hokes Bluff, Piedmont, Cave Spring, Rome and so on.
Sharon brings an energy and enthusiasm to everything she does – and she and her staff are dedicated to meeting the emotional needs of her customers, no matter what the occasion.
Sharon moved here from Nebraska in 2010 – where she owned her own shop for 20 years – and she immediately knew she’d found her new home.

Cherokee county’s oldest flower/wedding shop, having been in operation for over 40 years and under the ownership of Sharon Joor since November 2017. We have been an active member of the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce for the past 5 years.

We understand that every customer who calls on us, has an emotional need, happy or sad. As artists, we listen to our customers, and work with them to interpret and create a beautiful work of art through the use of flowers and plants that create a floral tribute and/or message for the recipient.
Our Services
We are a full-service florist, specializing in fresh-cut flower arrangements, sympathy tributes, memorial arrangements, green plants, gourmet food baskets, balloons, gift items, and gift certificates. We are capable of sending flowers worldwide.

Located in the heart of Centre, Alabama, home of beautiful Weiss Lake, just off Hwy 9, minutes from Cherokee Medical Center, Cherokee High School, Cherokee County Health & Rehab Center, and Gadsden State College.
Hours of Operation / Delivery Areas
Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, Saturday 9am-1pm, closed Sunday. Customer service operators are available 24/7.
We are open 7 days a week for funeral needs.
