Centre Mayor Tony Wilkie Provides Update on COVID-19 Cases at City Hall

The City of Centre would like to inform the public the LOBBY is currently closed at City Hall due to employees having tested positive for coronavirus, however they ARE still conducting business.

Mayor Tony Wilkie was kind enough to phone WEIS Radio News Friday morning to provide an update on the situation at City Hall:

City of Centre employees are on-hand to answer your phone calls, and there is also a “drop-box” out front for your convenience. 

Due to positive COVID-19 results for City of Centre employees and Court related personnel, Court for the City of Centre originally scheduled for July 23d, has been postponed – and will held at a later date. 

If you were scheduled to appear in City Court on the 23rd, contact Centre City Hall at (256) 927-5222, and provide your current address in order to ensure you receive notification of a the new court date.

Also this note the Centre City Council meeting that had been scheduled for earlier this week has been re-scheduled for next Monday, July 20th at 5:00pm.
