Centre Police Arrest Three Men On Drug Trafficking Charges In The Wal-Mart Parking Lot

Officers from Centre Police Department were dispatched to Walmart at approximately 2:00 a.m. Saturday when a store manager reported possible illegal activity happening in the employee parking area.

When Officers responded to the area they observed three males who appeared to be making an illegal drug transaction.

During the investigation officers discovered over 4 ounces of methamphetamine with a street value of $5000 and a sum of cash on the suspect’s.

35 year old Charles Jeffery Garret of Albertville was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and distribution of a controlled substance, 46 year old Keith Claudy Looney of Albertville was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and distribution of a controlled substance and 42 year old Willy James Lee of Cedartown, Georgia was charged with trafficking methamphetamine.

All three remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center without bond.
