CHARLES ‘Shorty’ ELROD age 79 of Centre passed away Sunday January 25th at Cherokee Health and Rehab.
Burial services will be 3 PM Monday January 26th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ray Haggard officiating, burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 PM Monday.
Pallbearers include Quentin Odell, Charlie Rice, Wendell Pruitt, Larry Elrod, Ted Elrod and Ernie Elrod.
Survivors include sons, Lane (Michelle) Elrod of Centre and Aaron Elrod of Centre: brothers, Ted Elrod of Leesburg and Larry Elrod of Centre: sister, Earlene Pruitt of Collinsville: 3 Grandchildren: 2 Step-Grandchildren.
Mr. Elrod was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Earl Clyde and Kathy Henderson Elrod. He was of the Baptist faith.
