Chattooga County Sheriff Releases Names of Trion Home Fire Victims

Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader, has released the names of those who died Sunday  night in a tragic house fire in the Trion area.

A total of six people lost their lives, including father and mother Bradley and Demi Jones, 29 and 22 years of age; three young girls: Clair, age 5; Lola, age 3; and Olivia, age three months; and a cousin who was spending the night, Jada Kendrick, age 5.

The fire, which occurred around 11:00 that night on Airport Road reportedly started from a wood burning heater which had been installed improperly by the homeowners.

The two adults died in an attempt to rescue the children from the burning home.   

Memorial funds have been set up at United Community Bank, and the Regions Bank branch, both in Summerville. 

Donations can be made to the Jones Family Memorial Fund at either location.
