Chattooga County Sheriff Seeking Assistance of Public in Identifying Person Caught on Camera Stealing

The Sheriff’s Office in Chattooga County, Georgia is investigating a recent theft during which thousands of dollars worth of cigarettes were taken from a convenience store and gas station in the Gore community.

According to Sheriff Mark Schrader the theft happened Sunday, October 17th, around 3:00am – when someone broke into the 76 Convenience Store, and stole what totaled more than $10,000 worth of cigarettes.  The sheriff says that the thief gained entry by cutting the lock off the door of the gas station with a saw.  In addition to stealing the cigarettes, he took the shelves that the cigarettes were stored on.
