Chattooga County Woman Facing Charges Of Theft By Taking A Motor Vehicle

A Chattooga County woman is facing felony theft by taking a motor vehicle charges after an incident that happened earlier this month in Rome.

Floyd County Police received a report about a car being stolen at Floyd Medical Center in Rome.  The vehicle was a 2004 black, Acura RSK and was stolen from the parking lot of Floyd Medical Center.

Police arrested forty-three-year-old Linda Coleman Laney of Menlo.  According to arrest records from the Floyd County Jail, Laney was arrested at Applebee’s on Turner McCall Boulevard in Rome and was booked into the Floyd County Jail.
