mitchell, tiffanie

Two Etowah County women have been arrested and charged with chemical endangerment of a child, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

23-year old Tiffanie Angelia Mitchell of Gadsden was arrested on May 6th while 18-year old Breanna Latreace Wilson of Attalla was arrested May 2nd.

Both are accused of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are produced or distributed.

Sheriff Entrekin says “It is simply unacceptable for an adult to endanger a child’s life with their choice to use drugs. Let these cases be a warning to anyone who chooses to use drugs and endanger the life of an innocent child. You will be arrested and charged. You will be held responsible.”

Wilson was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on a $5,000 property bond.

Mitchell is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $5,000 property bond.

Since 2011, only three cases of chemical endangerment have been reported to the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office. One case is currently under investigation at this time.
