Cherokee County Ambulance Involved in Minor Accident on Way to Emergency Call

There was a minor accident involving a Cherokee County ambulance and another vehicle shortly before 8:00 on Saturday night (November 9th).

According to the Centre Police Department accident report, the ambulance was on an emergency call with lights and sirens activated traveling between Centre and Cedar Bluff when driver David Woodall, noticed a PT Cruiser about to turn left into a private drive apparently unaware of the oncoming ambulance.

Woodall swerved in order to miss the vehicle, but apparently contact was made between the front bumper of the PT Cruiser and the passenger side rear of the ambulance – meanwhile, those in the ambulance were reportedly unaware that any contact had been made between the two vehicles so they continued on their way.

According to that accident report, the driver of the Cruiser, Centre resident Sheila Guice, was not hurt in the mishap.
