Cherokee County Authorities Make A Number Of Drug Related Arrest On Monday

Cherokee County authorities made a number of drug arrests Monday, including two people being charged with Trafficking.

Stephen Kyle Reynolds, 27, and Phillip Blake Slayton, age 25, both of Piedmont, were placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking Amphetamines and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Slayton was additionally charged with Tampering with Evidence.  Bond was set at $75,500 for Reynolds and at $76,000 for Slayton. Both remain lodged in the Cherokee County Detention Center.

William Allison Wood age 63 from Cedar Bluff was charged with the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Tampering with Evidence.  Wood remains in jail with bond set at $5,000.

Roger Dale Broadrick, 55 of Lyerly, Lewis Eugene Adams, 33 of Trion, Lanny Ray Croker, 33 of Chattahoochie and Barbara Lorene Croker, 42 of Cedar Bluff, and George Eugene Monroe  age 32 from Prattville were each charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Monroe is also on hold for another agency.

Bond for was set at $3,000 each with Broadrick being released after making bond just prior to 7:30 that evening.   Adams, Monroe and the Crokers’ remain in the Detention Center.

And Kevin Martin Oakes, age 22 of Cedar Bluff was charged with the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Oakes was released within an hour of being booked into jail after making bond of $1,000.

These arrests were based on probable cause, all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
