High school baseball teams in the WEIS radio listening area completed the first round of the AHSAA baseball playoffs.

Class 1A Gaylesville and Class 2A Sand Rock saw their stellar seasons come to an end.  

Spring Garden (1A), Cedar Bluff (1A), Piedmont (3A), Hokes Bluff (4A) and Cherokee County (4A) all advanced after capturing first round victories. 

All teams will be on the road in round two with the exception of Class 4A, No. 8 Cherokee County.  

The last time the Warriors hosted a second round game was thirty-six years ago (1981).  Head Coach Fran Blanchard will join Jerry Baker in studio on Tuesday morning to talk about this years Warrior squad and plans for the double head at Beckett Field on Friday night.
