Cherokee County Commission Meeting

Well – it was a somewhat brief meeting for the Cherokee County Commission Tuesday morning; The meeting, which had been on the schedule for Monday, was postponed until the following day due to the Columbus Day Holiday.

The Council voted to postpone the appointment of two seats, #4 and #5, to the Board of Cherokee County Department of Human Resources; the Council also approved two financial agreements, with NCL Government Capital: One in the amount of $50,809.50 for the purchase of a 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500 Truck, and one for the purchase of a LeeBoy 8510E Paver – that – at the price of $249,814.40.  Also – a flooring project for the District Attorney’s Office was approved by the Commission; that at a cost of $5,400 to be completed by Lambert Roofing & Construction – using the Capital Improvement Funds.

The next Cherokee County Commission meeting, is scheduled to take place Monday, October 23rd at 5:00pm.
