During their most recent meeting the proposal was submitted to the commission by County Administrator Tim Burgess, for review and consideration. Burgess gave a brief overview of what the preliminary budget covered – including a management analysis which should help provide financial comparisons from year to year; he also touched on the possible passage of the pay scale package, and how that would affect the numbers – plus a number of additional factors and considerations. Burgess said he hoped to have a firm proposal ready for review by the next meeting of the commission.
In other business conducted by the commission, both BJ Major and Andy Lowe were named to the Cherokee County Human Resources Board and the hiring of Eric Tucker as a personal property appraisal clerk was approved, effective September 21st.
The next regular meeting of the Cherokee County Commission is set for Monday September 28th, starting at 5:00pm – taking place in the County Administration Building in Centre.
