According to Cherokee County Administrator Tim Burgess the telephone system at the Cherokee County Courthouse currently is out of order.
During this temporary outage, the public will be unable to reach any of the offices by telephone. However, the Courthouse is open and those needing to do business may do so by simply coming by.
The Cherokee County Commission currently is working on a solution and is in te process of the resolving the matter, Mr. Burgess said that he hope to have the problem resolved as soon as Thursday
The old system was outdated and crashed beyond repair on Wednesday.
Burgess apologizes to the public for the inconvenience and asks for the public’s patience as he and the County Commission work to resolve this situation.
