Cherokee County Health & Rehabilitation Center Celebrates National Nursing Home Week

With the introduction of a new, revised version of the “Safer-at-Home” Order introduced by Governor Kay Ivey last Friday (and going into effect Monday, May 11th), people have seen restrictions loosened practically across the board – however, that’s certainly not the case where safety is without a doubt of the utmost importance – the Cherokee County Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center.

They even went so far as to have a National Guard Unit specializing in COVID-19 protection come into the facility recently to conduct a full-scale safety/prevention procedure.

Administrator Brad Hinton:

Stringent safeguards are in place, however, those with loved ones at the facility can be sure that the residents of the facility aren’t forgotten, or ignored, by any means:

This is National Nursing Home week and Mr. Hinton and the staff have prepared an array of activities to provide joy for those at the facility.  Quality of life isn’t just a term – it’s what each and every one of us, at any age, is looking for – enjoyment and contentment, safety – and happiness.
