The Cherokee County Health & Rehabilitation Center has been ahead of the curve all along in protecting the residents, staff members and visitors alike from cornavirus by introducing stringent precautionary measures from the start.  And, they’ve continued to keep up those high standards – even taking it a step farther recently – by taking part in an innovative new program.

Administrator Brad Hinton tells us more:

Mr. Hinton went on to explain how the process worked:

Hinton told WEIS Radio News the team is basically “on call” and will return to the Cherokee County Health & Rehabilitation Center upon request.

Also, Cherokee County Health & Rehabilitation continues to work closely with the Alabama Department of Public Health adhering to all safety guidelines to prevent the introduction of coronavirus into the facility, including observance of strict hand washing procedures, those entering the facility must come in through the front door/reception area where they will be screened, and ALL staff members along with residents now wear masks for their safety and the safety of anyone they come in contact with.

Hinton also noted that next week will provide residents with some special surprises:

We’ll have more on Cherokee County Health & Rehabilitation – and National Nursing Home week – on Monday (May 11th).
