Cherokee County Launches New Free Prescription Drug Card Program

coast2coast3The Cherokee County Commission and the Coast 2 Coast Prescription Program announced the launch of a new prescription drug discount program for Cherokee County residents on Monday.

The new Coast 2 Coast Prescription card will allow county residents, regardless of income, age or health status to participate in the program and save on the cost of their medications. Ron Howard a representative with the organization Financial Marketing Concepts spoke to county commissioners on Monday evening about the new program.

There are no eligibility requirements so the card the expected to have a sizeable impact on the uninsured residents or residents facing high insurance deductibles.

County residents can pick up a card, free of charge, at the Cherokee County Commission Office in the Administration Building as well as various locations through the county.
